Edward F. King founded King Information Systems, Inc. in 1972. He was President of this firm, a records management and consulting firm for banks and credit unions, from 1972 to 1996. From 1996 through the present he remains Chairman of the Board. He retired from day to day operations in May of 2005.
Mr King resides in West Roxbury, MA with his lovely wife Ginny. They have four grown children and five grandchildren.
Mr King has had extensive political involvement in Massachusetts. His activities include: member of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee from 1968 to 1976; Deputy Chairman of the Republican State Committee from 1972 to 1975; Founder of the Citizens for Limited Taxation in 1973; Chairman of Platform Committee, state Republican Convention in 1974; Author of Proposition 2 1/2; at the 1978 Republican convention, he was endorsed Republican candidate for Governor of Massachusetts; Co-Chairman Reagan for President Committee 1976; and Chairman of the Boston Finance Commission.
Other notables include Mr King attended Adams Memorial High School in Adams, MA and Boston College. He wrote a weekly syndicated column that was carried in ten newspapers in Massachusetts. He retired in 2002 after working 50 years as a baseball umpire from youth (Little League) to adult (the Park League).
