Beyond a Champion of Women's Suffrage with Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul, she stood for many controversial issues of her day. Her writings in her newspaper, The Revolution, dealt with the issue of 'Restellism' named after the New York City abortionist Madame Restell. Susan B. Anthony's wrote several editorials, letters to the editor, in her diary and her clear prohibition to newspaper advertisements dealing with 'no immoral medication', which was code language for abortion during her time.
